A valued member of the GHCC team for over 23 years, Juanita began her journey with the Chamber in August 2002 as an administrative assistant and receptionist. Her dedication, attention to detail, and commitment to the Chamber’s mission quickly led to her promotion in 2008 to handle bookkeeping duties for both GHCC (Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce), the Hispanic-American Center for Economic Development (HACED).
Promoted to Director of Operations in March 2017, Juanita Rivera manages the GHCC’s financial accounts and leads the coordination of the Chamber’s events. She also oversees the financial accounts of the GHCC’s affiliate organization, the Hispanic American Center for Economic Development (HACED), ensuring accuracy and continuity across both entities.
Originally from Guayama, Puerto Rico, and raised in Caguas, Juanita holds an associate degree in Business Administration from Caguas City College. She and her family have called Atlanta home since 1988. Juanita has been married for over 44 years to her husband, Isidro “Papo” Rivera, and together they have built a beautiful family with three children, Jonathan, Jennifer, Jarrett, and seven beloved grandchildren. She also enjoys spending time at the beach and traveling.
A proud matriarch, Juanita is a woman deeply rooted in family values. She considers her family the most important part of her life and her greatest blessing. Her happiest moments are spent surrounded by her grandchildren, especially cheering them on at their softball and baseball games and sharing in their joys and milestones.
Juanita’s loyalty, warmth, and steady presence have made her not just a team member, but a beloved and respected part of the GHCC family.
