GHCC Launches Somos Fútbol Georgia to Connect Culture, Community, and Commerce Ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
New statewide initiative will spotlight businesses, restaurants, venues, community activations, consular resources, and cultural experiences as Georgia prepares to welcome the world.
ATLANTA, GA — GHCC officially launched Somos Fútbol Georgia, a statewide initiative created to connect culture, community, and commerce while elevating businesses, local experiences, and community engagement across Georgia as the state prepares for one of the most anticipated global sports moments in history.
The launch took place on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the Omni Atlanta Hotel at Centennial Park, Top Draft Sports Bar, bringing together business leaders, hospitality partners, media, elected officials, consular representatives, community organizations, sponsors, and soccer enthusiasts for a dynamic morning of networking, announcements, and strategic conversations around Georgia’s role in this global soccer season.
For many communities, fútbol is more than a sport. It is identity, family, culture, celebration, food, music, business, and connection. Through Somos Fútbol Georgia, GHCC is creating a statewide platform that helps visitors, residents, businesses, and community partners discover and activate the cultural experience across Georgia.

A Platform Built for Visitors, Businesses, and Communities
Somos Fútbol Georgia — We Are Soccer Georgia — will serve as a digital and community engagement platform connecting people to restaurants, watch parties, cultural events, retail businesses, hospitality partners, consular resources, sponsorships, activations, and promotional opportunities.
The platform will highlight:
- Where to Eat: Restaurants and culinary experiences
- Where to Watch: Viewing parties, match-day venues, and local gatherings
- What to Experience: Cultural events, festivals, activations, and family-friendly programming
- Where to Shop: Retail businesses, local products, and fan merchandise

- Business Resources: Tools and information for businesses preparing for high-traffic events
- Consular Connections: Emergency contacts and consular support information for residents and visitors
- Ways to Engage: Sponsorships, listings, partnerships, activations, and promotional opportunities
The initiative is designed to help businesses of all sizes — from neighborhood restaurants and local retailers to hospitality partners and corporate sponsors — participate in Georgia’s global soccer moment.

As part of the initiative, GHCC also introduced the Somos Fútbol Georgia merchandise collection, created to celebrate community pride while generating resources to support the Chamber’s education, business, workforce, entrepreneurship, and leadership development initiatives.
Available merchandise will include:

- Branded T-shirts
- Hats and fan gear
- Custom co-branded merchandise opportunities for businesses and community activations
Proceeds from merchandise sales will support programs focused on small business education, workforce development, entrepreneurial growth, and leadership development.
