About Us
Recognizing the economic potential of our Hispanic community, a group of visionary leaders established the Atlanta Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in 1984. From that vision, the Atlanta Hispanic Chamber of Commerce grew to become the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GHCC) which was formally incorporated in 1991. In 1993, the GHCC received its 501(c)(6) status. In an effort to advance the formation and growth of Hispanic businesses in the state of Georgia, the GHCC established an educational arm in 2001, the Hispanic American Center for Economic Development (HACED). Since 2001, HACED has serviced 35,000 individuals by providing business consultation, seminars and workshops, and housing start-up businesses in the small business incubator.

In carrying out our mission and realizing our vision, GHCC services over 1,200 members including 850 companies. We service our members on the domestic and international levels. On the international side, we are the umbrella over five (5) bi-national chambers of commerce. Our programming and services focus on the member as the Hispanic market and as a Hispanic entrepreneur. As such, we offer advertising and marketing opportunities, and access to job and wealth opportunities. For the corporate or large business owner, advertising and marketing to our large and diverse membership base means increasing visibility and business opportunities in the Hispanic market. For the Hispanic entrepreneur, being a member means gaining access to job and wealth opportunities such as: access to opportunity information in the international, corporate and governmental levels; opportunities to participate in targeted interview and focus group sessions; access to international trade missions; access to international and domestic business match sessions; and, access to over thirty-five (35) networking opportunities. In addition, our Hispanic entrepreneur members have the opportunity to participate in business development opportunities, and they have access to product and service discounts and affinity programs. We also serve as a legislative voice on initiatives impacting your business at the local, state and federal levels.

  The GHCC mission is to:
“to promote and support the domestic and international economic development of Hispanic businesses and individuals, and to serve as a link between non-Hispanic entities and the Hispanic market.”

The vision of the GHCC is:
“by 2011, to be an economic development beacon, and sought after as a Hispanic strategic leader at all levels of the economic development dialogue in Georgia and in Latin America.”
